Pop Up Card

Crafts are another one of my vices. I can't get enough of card making lately. Sewing, scrapbooking, painting and my other craft obsessions have taken a backseat to stamping and making cards. So if you get a card from me any time soon, it will most likely be homemade. That is until I fall back in love with sewing or some other art form. I truly believe that we all have a need to express ourselves creatively. Right now this is my outlet.

I thought this little crab card turned out very well. It pops up when you take it out of the envelope. And it was so fun to color the sea creatures. If you are feeling ambitious and want to make one for yourself, here are the directions.

Once a cereal box- Now a comic book holder

The clutter in my house is unreal.  Piles of mail, clothes, craft items, unfinished projects.  Can you relate?  If you can I'm sure you can also relate to feeling frustrated when you look at it!  My husband recently passed on his comic book collection to our son.  Just another pile to add to the clutter.  So I saw this nifty idea in a magazine.  Take an empty cereal box, mark it on a diagonal, cut, wrap with wrapping paper.  Now you have a holder for papers, magazines, mail... what ever you need corralled.  Easy as pie!
